South African pacer Lungi Ngidi has made a name for himself in the last few years with his spectacular performances. The right-arm pacer has proved his mettle in all three formats, emerging as a vital part of South Africa’s bowling attack. Be it swinging the new ball with pace or nailing yorkers, Ngidi has many weapons in his arsenal to trouble batsmen. Moreover, he is the fastest Proteas bowler to take 50 ODI wickets, reaching the landmark in 26 matches.

While Ngidi is a celebrated bowler now, his journey to the top hasn’t been easy. He came from a humble background and saw many challenges in his childhood. However, his hard work paid off, and the pacer now has a luxurious life. On Tuesday, Ngidi took to Instagram and shared pictures of his newly bought home.

“Finally a place I can call my own first place has been bought #MSWAPENI,” wrote Ngidi alongside sharing a couple of picture of his deluxe property. The comment section got flooded in no time with congratulatory messages coming from different parts. Many of his fellow cricketers, including Dwayne Bravo, Andile Phehlukwayo, and Tabraiz Shamsi, also sent greetings to the young pacer.

Meanwhile, Ngidi was last seen in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, which was postponed midway. Playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the 25-year-old played just three games in the tournament and scalped five wickets. However, he couldn’t get a permanent place in the line-up due to the restriction of just four foreign players.

Nevertheless, the cricket calendar is busy this year, and Ngidi will have a lot of chances to showcase his brilliance. He’ll next take the field in South Africa’s upcoming tour of the West Indies. The tour comprises two Tests and five T20Is, starting from June 10. The young speedster features in both the squads and would be raring to shine.

Meanwhile, South Africa haven’t done well in international cricket lately. Their last assignment was against Pakistan at home, where they couldn’t do much. They lost the ODI series 1-2 before facing defeat in T20Is by the same margin. Nevertheless, they should be determined to put up a much better show against the Caribbean side.
