The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru was originally named the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) Stadium in 1969 for a brief period. However, the ground was eventually changed and named after M Chinnaswamy, who was involved in the administration of cricket in Karnataka for nearly four decades. In addition to this, he was also the president of the Indian board from 1977 to 1980.
