Manoj Tiwary slams Rashid Latif, calls him donkey

Former Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman Rashid Latif recorded a video a few days ago. In that video, he bashed India and former Indian opener Virender Sehwag. Sehwag, who is known for his straightforward attitude, commented that Bangladesh is the grandson and Pakistan is India’s son. But after Team India’s shocking loss against Sri Lanka, Latif found his chance to return the favour.

The Indian cricket fraternity is furious after watching Latif’s video. Indian batsman Manoj Tiwary, who has played 12 ODIs for the national team, has now recorded a video where he has slammed the 48-year old. He even went on to the extent of calling Latif a donkey. The 31-year old West Bengal based batsman threatened Latif to stop insulting India or else he will reply him in such a manner that blood will gush out from the Pakistani’s ears.

Latif is a limelight seeker

“I was thinking why is Latif targeting our legendary batsman Virender Sehwag. But then I realised, all he wants is a 60-second limelight. He wants fame and I don’t know for how long has he been deprived of it by god,” said the Howrah-born player. “He does not know how to respect a player. Mr. Latif, you have made a big mistake by uploading such a video,” added Tiwary.

He further made fun of Khalid Latif’s English, by saying, “Hey Mr. Rashid, please go and check your records. But the numbers are in English and you will not be able to understand it. But do understand that you will never be able to reach the person you’ve attacked (Virender Sehwag). Ask a friend who knows English to translate Sehwag’s number and then you will realise that you’re miles behind him.”

The bashing didn’t end here and continued: “You are a shameless person. Ever watched your face? You have blacked your face. Don’t do anything like this in future. Now, I am giving you respect. I can also use foul words and if you repeat this, I will use such foul words that blood will gush out from your ears. Those few Indian budding players who got inspired after seeing your wicket-keeping will now be ready to beat you with their sandals.”

Then came the final line “You are a donkey.” This video has raised many eyebrows and it will be interesting to see how Latif responds to it.

Rashid v Sehwag in numbers

Rashid Latif has played 37 Tests and 166 ODIs for Pakistan. In Tests, he has scored 1381 runs with an average of around 28. In ODI, the average drops down to 19 as he has scored only 1709 runs. On the other hand, Sehwag has played 104 Tests and 251 ODIs for India. He has scored over 8500 runs in Tests at an average of just under 50, In ODIs, he has scored around 300 runs less with an average of 35. In addition to that, he had a strike rate of 104 in ODIs, while Latif’s strike rate was 76.
