Preview:
Queensland started off their Marsh One-Day Cup campaign with a record chase in their first match against the New South Wales Blues. In the game played at the Allan Border Field, the NSW posted 305/5 in their 50 overs. Sam Heazlett, Joe Burns and Marnus Labuschagne struck half-centuries to put Queensland on the top. They raced to 92/1 by end of 10th over but the things got slow down.
They lost their way due to the wickets in the middle-overs as they were reduced to 199/5 from 142/1. Jack Wildermuth also scored a fifty to help the hosts chase the target with two overs to spare. In their 2nd match at the same venue, the Queensland team will host South Australia. The Jake Lehmann-led side ended up at No.3 in the last edition but failed to reach Semis after losing the Qualifying final to Queensland only.
Weather Condition/Report:
Clouds could be around the Allan Border Field throughout the day on Tuesday. However, the weather forecast doesn’t suggest any rain and hence we might have a full game without any interruption.
