Mohammad Amir, on Friday, came across the India skipper Virat Kohli’s lookalike while watching the Turkish TV series Dirilis Ertugrul Ghazi. He soon took to his official Twitter handle to ask his cricketer friend if he is actually playing a role in the popular series. He also posted a picture of the character which is exactly looking like Kohli and hilariously quipped the latter about the same.

Soon after the Pakistan pacer’s tweet, the picture went viral on social media. Even as the fans wait eagerly for Kohli’s reply, the curiosity is also increased to know more about the actor who is looking like the 31-year-old. As far as the series is concerned, it is about the heroic story of Ertugrul Ghazi, the father of Osman (Uthman) who founded the Ottoman Empire.

It is available to watch on the popular OTT platform Netflix and it originally released in 2014 with the last of its five seasons coming out only last year.

Who is Virat Kohli’s lookalike?

As far as the actor looking exactly like Virat Kohli is concerned, his name is Cavit Çetin Güner and was born in Istanbul, Turkey. He is 34 years old, only three years elder to the India captain and is known for his role in various TV shows as well. Going by his Instagram account, the actor doesn’t look like Virat Kohli without a beard. His look with a beard which was the need of the TV series possibly made him the Indian cricketer’s lookalike.

No wonder, Cavit Çetin Güner will be searched a lot in India over the next few days as his look has gone viral on social media now. It will also be interesting to see if Virat Kohli acknowledges it as well.

As far as the cricketer is concerned, like many, he is also stuck at his home in Mumbai due to the nationwide lockdown in India since March 23. He hasn’t been involved in any cricketing action since New Zealand tour and has been actively spreading awareness about how to contain Coronavirus. He was also the part of Government’s #MatForwardKar campaign along with the Bollywood actors.
