Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers lock horns on as they contest Match no. 4 of the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) 2023-24 on Sunday day, December 10 at the Simonds Stadium in Geelong. The reverse fixture between the two sides will take place in Match no. 15 on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at the Perth Stadium in Perth.

Talking about the form, the Renegades have had a mixed start to the twelfth edition of the BBL. They have played six matches so far and won three and lost three. Melbourne began their season in some style with three victories in the first three encounters against Brisbane Heat (twice) and Sydney Thunder. Though, they returned to winning ways with three victories on the trot against Melbourne Stars (twice) and the Strikers.

In reply, the Renegades' chase started brightly with Shaun Marsh anchoring the innings with a solid 59. Joe Clarke and Quinton de Kock contributed 32 and 23 runs respectively, but unfortunately, their efforts fell just short, leaving the Renegades 13 runs adrift at the end.
