Michael Slater reveals the real reason behind slamming Scott Morrison that cost him job at Channel Seven

Australian commentator Michael Slater recently lost his job with Channel Seven and his sudden axing from the media house created a great stir in the cricketing fraternity. In the same light of events, Slater recently opened up on his story in detail as to what really cost him his job with Seven. It is known that Slater slammed the Australian PM Scott Morrison openly through a series of tweets.

While the Indian leg of IPL was on, he was on his commentary duties and when the tournament got suddenly stopped, he was trapped in the nation as Australia closed its borders with India. The grave scenario occurred because the 2^nd wave of COVID-19 in India was dangerous beyond measures and took lacs of lives.

In the same line of events, Slater added that his anxiety erupted seeing a line of dead bodies in India on the roadside. He accused the PM of having ‘blood on his hands’ as he didn’t allow flights from India and then the

commentator rather asked the PM to come on his private jet to see the actual scenario.

“Amazing to smoke out the PM on a matter that is a human crisis. The panic, the fear of every Australian in India is real!! How about you take your private jet and come and witness dead bodies on the street!” he tweeted.

“The tweets came from a place of sheer desperation and wanting to get home to crying kids worried about their father. It got very emotional. We got to Ahmedabad and we went past a Covid testing site. We’d see all these dead bodies on the side of the road. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. It was so horribly confronting,” Slater told the Courier Mail.

Slater further added that he could have handled the matter in a better manner and didn’t mean to be disrespectful. However, he also added later that he would still vote for Scott Morrison in the next election as he personally likes whatever he does in his rule.

“All I’ll say is that I’ll be voting for ScoMo at the next election. I admire what he does,” he concluded.
