Michael Vaughan roasts Wasim Jaffer for bagging a duck in Legends League Cricket game, latter comes up with epic response
Wasim Jaffer bagged a two-ball duck in the game against World Giants.
Former Team India Test opener Wasim Jaffer has been a social media sensation in the last couple of years and has been known for his great sense of humor. For the past year or so, he has been engaged in social media banters with ex-England skipper Michael Vaughan which has enthralled all cricket fans. Lately, the two were at it again and while Vaughan started it, Jaffer ensured that he finished the proceedings in style as he always does.
It so happened that the cricketer-turned-cricket pundit had posted a video on his official Twitter handle where he is seen enjoying a beverage while displaying the scorecard of the Legends Cricket League 2022 game between India Maharajas and World Giants, where Wasim Jaffer bagged a two-ball duck.
“Somethings don’t change Wasim,” Michael Vaughan was heard saying in the video. which was captioned: “Hope you are ok @WasimJaffer14”
Wasim Jaffer gives it back to Michael Vaughan in style
The video posted by the Englishman went viral in no time and as soon as it came to Wasim Jaffer’s notice, the veteran batter did not waste any time in giving a savage reply to the 2005 Ashes-winning skipper.
The multiple-time Ranji Trophy winner shared a screenshot of a YouTube clip that dates back to 15 years where the then English captain can be seen giving batting tips & lessons. The Mumbai cricketer then added that he should not have watched Vaughan’s ‘masterclass’ before going to bat.
Both retired cricketers are busy with their own commitments. While Jaffer is participating in the Legends League Cricket, Vaughan is in Australia on a commentary stint to cover the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL).
While the former Test specialist failed to trouble the scorers in the contest, a stupendous 140 from wicketkeeper batter Naman Ojha and an unbeaten 53 from middle-order batter Mohammad Kaif helped India Maharajas post a formidable total of 209/3 from their 20 overs.
The Maharajas seemed to have things in control despite a 27-ball 53 from Kevin Pietersen but a cameo knock from veteran South African leggie Imran Tahir helped the Giants pull off a famous win by three wickets in the final over. Tahir remained unbeaten on a 19-ball 52.
