Mohammad Kaif believes India is still unsure with their middle order

The number 4 and number 6 positions are still open, which isn't a good sign considering the World Cup is less than a year away from commencement.

Mohammad Kaif had a sparkling beginning to his career but unfortunately, the end wasn’t as good as he would’ve liked. Just a few days ago, he called it the day and people did take some time off their busy schedules to remember those few amazing moments he provided as an Indian cricketer.

Indian middle order seemed perfect in those days, especially after the 2002 Natwest series triumph. Youngsters Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif punched way above their weights and promised for a better future. Whilst one did live up to the obligations, the other parted ways way too soon than what was expected.

Indian middle order once again faces a predicament, which is often shadowed by the brilliance of Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. These three gentlemen often take the pressure on themselves and do the bulk of the scoring, which didn’t put the middle order on any stern tests. Whenever the middle order did face a test, it more often than not failed.

Krunal and Rayudu might get a chance: Kaif

Talking about the current Indian middle order issues, Kaif posted a tweet suggesting that this middle order still didn’t find proper names for those two elusive spots. It is pretty clear that MS Dhoni will be there, unless he decides to hang up his boots. But the number 4 and number 6 positions are still open, which isn’t a good sign considering the World Cup is less than a year away from commencement.

“India have experimented with 7 players KL Rahul, Rahane, Kedar Jadhav, Manish Pandey, Shreyas Iyer, Karthik, Raina for the two middle over slots. Don’t seem to have still settled on both positions. Feel Krunal and Rayudu might get a look in. Who has been your best pick?” Kaif tweeted.

The position is also quite an intricate one as people can’t figure if this is a problem of plenty or the other way round. He also predicted that Krunal Pandya and Ambati Rayudu might be getting a chance ahead of the grandiose tournament to showcase their talent.
