As the world is celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr amid the lockdown, many players have passed on wishes through social media. Indian speedster Mohammed Shami also celebrated the occasion and extended Eid wishes to his fans and fellow cricketers.

Apart from that, the speedster also sent a special gift to current Team India head coach Ravi Shastri. Shami, while sharing photos of mutton biryani, kheer and seviyan, told Shastri that he has packed some gifts for him on the occasion and these dishes would be delivered in some time.

“Ravi bhai, I have packed and sent Seviyan, Kheer and Mutton Biryani. You should receive it in some time,” Mohammed Shami wrote on his Twitter.

Shami’s love for biryani is a well-known affair as the pacer has expressed his fondness for the dish on multiple occasions. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the whole world is celebrating Eid while following the social distancing norms and all are enjoying the occasion in quarantine with their families. Meanwhile, it seems like Shami is no different as he is feasting on his favourite dishes on the occasion of Eid, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

Shami was all set to don the Kings XI Punjab jersey in the thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. However, due to the indefinite postponement of the tournament, fans will have to wait a while to witness Team India stalwarts back in action on the field.

The cash-rich league has been postponed until further notice and considering the current situation across the country, there’s no certainty whatsoever in the resumption of sporting action.

Team India stars, amid the lockdown, have resorted to indoor training to keep themselves busy during the quarantine period. After the central government issued the notice and allowed usage of sports complexes and stadiums without fans, many players like Shardul Thakur and Ravichandran Ashwin were spotted training outdoors.

However, due to the stern situation in Maharashtra, stars like Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, and Rohit Sharma are still limiting themselves to indoor training. Meanwhile, Shami, who has a training facility at his residence in his native Sahaspur village in Uttar Pradesh, has the option to start training outdoors.
