'Money only impresses lazy girls' - Manoj Tiwary reacts after ED summons Rhea Chakraborty in Sushant Singh Rajput case
Rhea Chakraborty has been accused of abetment to suicide and money laundering in the FIR filed by the late actor's father.
The whole nation was left stunned on June 14 after TV and Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide at his Bandra residence. Sushant was a popular face in the country and his death resulted in lakhs of wishes and condolences pouring in on social media.
Following Sushant’s tragic demise, many people raised their voice on social media and questioned his death. There were reports about the actor suffering from depression for the past few months. But few people urged for a detailed investigation, believing that it wasn’t a case of suicide.
Since Sushant’s untimely death, Twitter as well as Instagram, has been flooding with requests for a rigid investigation over the matter. Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty has been accused of abetment to suicide and money laundering in the FIR filed by the late actor’s father.
As a part of the investigation, Rhea was also questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at its office in Mumbai on Friday. The ‘Jalebi’ actress was also asked about her possessions and properties in the city. Along with the actress, her brother Showik Chakraborty Sushant’s ex-manager Shruti Modi were also questioned. Moreover, Sushant’s close friend Siddharth Pithani and Rhea’s father Indrajit Chakraborty were also summoned by the ED.

Amid the investigation, many fans have been constantly lending their support to ensure that justice prevails. Manoj Tiwary, who donned the Indian jersey in 21 ODIs and 3 T20Is, has also been quite active on social media while voicing his support a fair investigation in Sushant’s case. The batsman has even has changed his Twitter display picture to Sushant’s still from the movie Dil Bechara.
After Rhea’s questioning by the ED, Tiwary tweeted, “2 al d gold diggers out there. Read dis– Money only impresses lazy girls. Wen a women works hard, a man wit money is a bonus, not a ladder to upgrade. #EDExposeRheaInSSRCase”
Since the past few weeks, Tiwary has been constantly sharing updates regarding the Sushant case, urging the judiciary for a fair investigation over the matter. 34-year-old Tiwary was last seen in action on the cricket field for Bengal in the Ranji Trophy final, where Saurashtra emerged as champions on the basis of first innings’ performance.
Tiwary would’ve been a part of Indian players who are set to travel to the UAE for plying their trade in IPL 2020. However, the right-hander, who had a base price of INR 50 lakh, went unsold in IPL 2020 Auction.
