Asia Cup 2023: Most sixes in Asia Cup history

Hitting maximums is an art in the beautiful game of cricket, and one doesn’t need big muscles to send the ball towards the crowd. What matters today is skills, strength, and courage to hit sixes. In the Asia Cup, some batters have shown why it’s not a big deal to hit massive sixes. With their power and ability, these batters became the players with the most maximums in the fabled competition.

India skipper Rohit Sharma leads the six-hitting chart in Asia Cup ODI competitions. The right-handed opener has slammed 28 maximums in 25 innings so far. He surpassed Shahid Afridi's tally of 26 sixes in the ongoing sixteenth edition.

Former Pakistan player Afridi, who was known for his power-hitting abilities, smacked 26 maximums in the continental trophy and is in the second spot for hitting the most number of sixes in the competition. His match-winning back-to-back couple of sixes against Ravichandran Ashwin in the 2014 Asia Cup is still one of the best moments to recall for Pakistan cricket supporters.

Former Sri Lanka opener Sanath Jayasuriya was known for his explosive batting style. The Southpaw hit 23 sixes for Sri Lanka in 24 innings of 25 matches of the Asia Cup. Sri Lanka became the Asian champions for the fourth time in the Asia Cup 2008, beating India in the final by 100 runs in Karachi. In the massive victory, Jayasuriya played an aggressive knock of 125 which included five sixes.

Suresh Raina served India brilliantly during his incredible career. With his talent and skills, the left-handed batter added many batting feats to his name. In the Asia Cup, Raina is the fourth-highest six-hitter with 18 maximums in 13 games.  Following Raina, the former India captain Sourav Ganguly stands in the fifth position on the list of the most sixes, with his 13 maximums.
