MS Dhoni hints at possible CSK return by sporting yellow again
Dhoni successfully led the CSK team to the playoffs of the IPL in all the 8 editions of the tournament that he featured for them.
Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni is arguably the most celebrated cricketer in the cricket world at the moment. His popularity is immense and that is evident every time he steps on the field for whichever team he plays for. With the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announcing the return of the two suspended IPL franchises, the fans of MS Dhoni have found yet another reason to rejoice.
Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals are all set to make a comeback to the IPL roster from the 2018 edition of the tournament. Amidst this situation, the eyes are all glued to Dhoni. Dhoni successfully led the CSK team to the playoffs of the IPL in all the 8 editions of the tournament that he featured for them. He led CSK to two title triumphs as well to go along with the Champions League victories.
Needless to say, the CSK camp absolutely loves Dhoni. Some recent reports suggested that the CSK team management are keen on roping back the services of MSD. While the team desperately wants him on the roster, the man himself is also keen on being a part of the CSK team again.
The most recent social media update of MS Dhoni only strengthens this claim. Dhoni posted a picture of himself where he is seen wearing a yellow jersey with the name ‘thala’ on it. The term means ‘the head’ or the ‘leader’ in Tamil. It is definitely not very tough to decipher what MS has tried to hint at.
Stint with RPS
Talking about the previous two editions, Dhoni was a part of the Rising Pune Supergiant franchise. Apparently, the fans believed that Dhoni was ill-treated and disgraced during his stint with the RPS. After RPS finished at the penultimate position in the 2016 edition, Dhoni was sacked as the team captain prior to the commencement of the 2017 edition.
