MS Dhoni shares para jumping photos on the day of India-Pakistan Asia Cup match
Indian skipper MS Dhoni, like many know, doesn’t like to get deeper into the gravity of events and on the day of a crucial, high-pressure and much hyped India v Pakistan Asia Cup tie he shared photos of his para jumping act that he did with the elite Para regiment of the Indian Army.
Dhoni who was enjoying time off the cricket field during August last year while the Indian team toured Sri Lanka for a Test series chose to train with the Army’s para jumping regiment. He trained successfully and also completed five jumps with the unit.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni was awarded the honorary Lieutenant Colonel position and since then has made sure he spends a part of his free time with his Army mates.
He took to Twitter today to share pictures of his jumps.
The first photo shows him sitting towards the edge of the aircraft and for a change we can see a nervous look on his face.
He wrote – ‘A few pics of my 1st para jump.2nd in line,a bit nervous yeah ofcourse’
‘First leap off a perfectly working aircraft’
Though it looks good enough to us, Dhoni has this rare attribute of not praising himself and he found a flaw in his posture here as well.
‘Good position but not perfect’
‘Static line starts to work’
This is the picture where we can see his parachute coming out of the backpack.
‘Parachute coming out of the bag’
Here Dhoni shows an example, of the perfect jump position he was referring to. Another jawan who is obviously a pro at it did it with perfection.
‘Parachute opens up.this is the perfect position I was talking about but then u know it’s not his first jump’
‘Followed by 20 secs of peace, feeling of being a bird and then the chaos of how the landing wd be’
