MS Dhoni spotted with CSK training jersey in Sakshi's Instagram video

While the postponement of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 left cricket lovers disappointed, MS Dhoni’s fans were in even greater dismay as the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain only plays IPL now. Several Indian cricket stars like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja will get back in Team India colours, but that will not be the case for MS Dhoni, with the talismanic captain retiring from international cricket last year.

Moreover, the three-time IPL winner isn’t active on social media and getting his updates is hard for fans. Nevertheless, fans have still managed to spot Dhoni at his Ranchi farmhouse thanks to the cricketer’s wife Sakshi. On many occasions, Sakshi went live on Instagram and shared videos from the farmhouse, which also starred the CSK skipper.

A similar thing happened on Wednesday as Sakshi Dhoni posted a video of their dogs playing fetch at the farmhouse. Fans didn’t take long in spotting the talismanic wicket-keeper in the clip, who was standing alongside his daughter Ziva. In the video, Dhoni can be seen wearing CSK’s training gear. Subsequently, the comments section got flooded with fans highlighting Dhoni’s presence in the background.

Meanwhile, Dhoni wasn’t in the best of batting forms in the now-postponed IPL 2021 as he couldn’t play many significant knocks. However, the legendary cricketer was lightning fast behind the stumps and his on-field decisions were spot on as well. As a result, CSK won five of their first seven games and were second in the team standings at the time of season suspension.

Moreover, the three-time champions just need three wins from their remaining seven games to secure a place in the playoffs officially. Hence, the Yellow army would be raring to take the field and continue their winning run. However, the fate of the remaining season is in jeopardy as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has a daunting task at hand.

The board needs to find a window to conduct the remaining 31 games in a jam-packed cricket calendar. As per reports, BCCI is mulling to host the remaining games in the UK in September. However, if the cost escalates over a certain point, the remainder of the competition can be moved to UAE.
