When Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni hit the six on the 4th delivery of the final over, the crowd at the Chinnaswamy Stadium was on their feet. On social media, from fans to celebrities, former cricketers to the players playing in the different franchises could not hold themselves from praising the former India skipper MS Dhoni’s terrific knock.

Manish Pandey, the Karnataka player who is representing Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 11th edition of the IPL could not resist himself in praising his India teammate. Pandey after the game tweeted that while it was midnight but he could not stop himself watching the big match. Pandey felt that the game between the home side Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings was a fight between best versus the best.

Earlier in the day, CSK won the toss and opted to field first. RCB had brought Kiwi all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme in the place of England’s Chris Woakes. Batting first, AB de Villiers produced yet another brilliant innings along with opener Quinton de Kock to post a huge total on the board. CSK bowlers with tight bowling halted the run scoring for a brief period but Mandeep Singh and Washington Sundar made sure the total went past 200.

While chasing the target, when MS Dhoni walked in to bat, the side was in trouble with 4 wickets inside 10 overs a lot of runs yet to be scored to win the game. However, MS Dhoni went all-gun blazing without wasting any time. He along with 30-year-old Ambati Rayudu put on a masterful 101-run stand.

Rayudu’s wicket came in the 18th over through an individual brilliance from pacer Umesh Yadav who hit the stumps to find him short of the crease but not before he had spilt a simple chance to give Rayudu a life which eventually cost them a lot.

MS Dhoni along with Dwyane Bravo provided the finishing touch to the innings by taking more than 30 runs in less than 2 overs to win the match. With Dhoni’s winning six, CSK now tops the points table.
