MS Dhoni’s daughter Ziva turns makeup artist for her father's photoshoot

He might be away from the cricket field for over seven months now but Mahendra Singh Dhoni is never really away from the headlines. The 38-year-old former World Cup-winning captain was recently spotted playing volleyball in the Maldives or going on a tiger safari in Kanha National Park.
And now, the ace wicket-keeper-batsman who is eyeing a comeback to competitive cricket in the Indian Premier League 2020, was seen in the company of his five-year-old daughter Ziva catering to him as his makeup artist.
Dhoni was in Mumbai recently for a photo shoot with his daughter and the fans relished a video of Ziva doing the makeup of her father with a brush. The video instantly went viral on social media after Dhoni’s official fan clubs posted the video captioning it. In the video, Ziva was seen sitting on Dhoni’s lap and doing her work diligently while the latter co-operated. Dhoni’s hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani was also spotted in the background.
Dhoni has not donned the Indian jersey since World Cup 2019
Dhoni has not played for India ever since their loss against New Zealand in the semi-final of the 2019 World Cup in England last July. The veteran, who did not have a great tournament with the bat, was India’s last hope in that game after a top-order collapse but a brilliant run-out throw from Martin Guptill dashed the dream of the Men in Blue.
India played in a number of limited-over series since the showpiece event against the West Indies, South Africa, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand but the Ranchi cricketer did not feature in any of those. Recently, Dhoni was even dropped from the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s list of central contracts fuelling speculation that the road has ended for the man who has given India two World Cups — in 2007 and 2011.
Dhoni, however, is set to begin his training in Chennai for the Chennai Super Kings — the team that he proudly leads in the Indian Premier League. The Ranchi cricketer has led the Super Kings in all editions barring the two years when they were suspended and took them to the final eight times. On three occasions, Dhoni’s team lifted the crown.
