It’s summertime in India and the entire nation is ready to embrace the cricket’s biggest T-20 carnival in the form of the eleventh edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). With opening game staged to take place between the league’s two most successful team, Mumbai Indians, and Chennai Super Kings, the excitement and frenzy have already taken the fans by a storm.
The defending Champions, Mumbai Indians are the team to beat in the tournament given their past success and their new recruits which speak volume of the probable threat in the forthcoming edition. One of the valuable foreign addition that gives them a lethal bowling combination along with Bumrah and Cummins is Mustafizur Rahman from Bangladesh.
Nafees to work as a translator
Rahman, who made his IPL debut with Sunrisers in 2016 was a major asset to the team as a death bowler who could easily deceive batsmen with his slower deliveries. After serving for Sunrisers for two consecutive years, the 22-year old sees himself taking up the duties of the most successful franchise in IPL history. He is likely to partner India’s most successful T-20 bowler in the recent past, Jasprit Bumrah.
Although, there were issues for the coaching staff and the skipper to interact with the young Bangladesh sensation given he is not good at his English. To tackle this, Mumbai Indians have come up with an idea of roping in a translator who is well acquainted with Mustafizur. Earlier, Hyderabad took the help of google translator to solve their purpose.
It was due to this reason that saw Mustafizur accompanied by Nafees Iqbal who also happens to be the elder brother of Tamim Iqbal. Nafees would be serving as the translator for Mumbai to help the staff and the skipper communicate properly with Rahman. Nafees has already reached in Mumbai to join the team along with Mustafizur. The defending Champions kick-start their campaign against the men in yellow in the opening encounter of the league with their home game on April 7.
