My life started changing after I became a part of RCB: Yuzvendra Chahal
Chahal added that he was very excited and thrilled to be in the same dressing room comprising the legends of the game like Virat Kohli, Daniel Vettori and AB de Villiers.
Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal believes that his life has changed in a good way after becoming a part of IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Chahal had started his IPL career in 2011 with Mumbai Indians. However, the leg-spinner didn’t get many opportunities to showcase his talent. As a result, he joined the Bangalore franchise in the 2014 session and has been a vital part of the team since then.
Chahal is widely regarded as one of the top spinners of the world. Having made his international debut for India in 2016, he has become an important part of India’s bowling line-up. The right-arm bowler has represented India in 52 One-day Internationals and 42 T20 matches till now taking 91 and 55 scalps respectively at an economy of 5.07 and 8.18. He has also taken 100 wickets in 83 matches played for RCB.
Speaking in a live chat with Roshni Chasmawala on YouTube, the Haryana-based bowler shed light on how being a part of RCB has affected his life and cricketing career in a positive manner.
“IPL was in Dubai that year, and I was a shy guy. I knew only one or two guys in the dressing room. My Haryana teammate Harshal Patel was a part of the squad then. I felt comfortable talking to him, and we shared the same room, so the transition was not so tough for me. My life started to change slowly after I became a part of RCB,” he said.
Chahal added that he was very excited and thrilled to be in the same dressing room comprising the legends of the game like Virat Kohli, Daniel Vettori and AB de Villiers. Apart from that he also knew Ravi Rampaul from before, who was a part of RCB back then.
