Keeping aside, Irfan Pathan’s views, India does look favourite to take away the trophy in their favour. They have been looking in great touch as all the players involved in the team were up in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. In fact, the team boasts of excellent bench strength and they won their two warm-up games against the cricketing giants in form of Australia and England.
It is known for all the Indian skipper Virat Kohli has decided to end his captaincy stint in the T20I format after the T20 WC 2021 campaign and his teammates will be eager to get the maiden ICC Trophy for him. Moreover, former legendary cricketer, MS Dhoni is with the men in blue and that has been the feather in their cap.
He could be seen assisting players during their warm-up and practice games. Various experts have also added that the presence of Dhoni with the Indian team is going to be a big plus, who comes with the experience of having all three ICC Trophies under his belt.
