Nathan Lyon takes his revenge after Mitchell Starc pulled his pants down
To make things even more hilarious, Lyon also made some facial expressions as he tried his best to embarrass his teammate.
There is a saying that goes ‘revenge is a dish best served cold’ and Australia speedster Mitchell Starc would probably agree to it. The left-arm pacer had pulled off a hilarious prank on his teammate Nathan Lyon before the start of day three of the ongoing Test against India in Perth.
It all happened when Lyon was busy giving an interview with the official broadcaster. Sensing an opportunity, Starc ran from behind when the off-spinner was in the midst of the conversation and had pulled his shorts down. But Lyon quickly pulled it up as Starc ran away while the commentary panel enjoyed the prank.
At that time, Lyon did not react at all as he maintained the sanctity of the interview. However, Lyon’s silence at that moment was not an indication that he had moved on after being the prey to Starc’s prank. The off-spinner was waiting for the right moment to take his revenge and he did not take long for the same. The tables turned at the end of the day when Starc was sitting with the commentary panel, giving an interview himself. Lyon then decided to get his revenge and the result was hilarious.
He stood in front of Starc but away from the glaring cameras and tried to distract him. To make things even more hilarious, Lyon also made some facial expressions as he tried his best to embarrass his teammate in front of the cameras.
Here is a video of the hilarious incident:
Australia on top in Perth
Meanwhile, the hosts have taken the upper hand in the crucial second Test. At the end of the first session on day four, the hosts were 190 for 4 with their overall lead extended to 233. Overnight batsmen Usman Khawaja and skipper Tim Paine made sure that the hosts do not lose any wicket in the first session with a gritty display. Khawaja was batting on 67 while Paine was on 37 when the lunch was taken.
