Virat Kohli is known for his amazing fitness levels which have become infectious amongst the Indian cricket team. Since taking over as captain from MS Dhoni in 2016, the Delhi boy has turned the heat on his teammates, in terms of quickness on-field and match fitness as well. He has achieved this level of fitness with tremendous dedication and the ultimate sacrifice of his favourite foods.

During an interview on YouTube show Breakfast with Champions and in various other publications, Kohli has highlighted his transformation from a chubby boy who debuted for India in 2008, to this lean mean machine, who has been scoring runs by buckets by simply running between the wickets and scoring doubles and singles. For this, he has let go of oily food, junk snacks and upped his physical exercise.

Kohli’s jawline hogs the limelight

Recently, Virat Kohli shared an image on his official Instagram handle with him in a side pose highlighting his bearded look and his perfectly shaped jawline. Kohli is currently off from cricket after having led India to a 2-0 Test series win over Bangladesh in Indore and Kolkata, in the first-ever day-night Test match.

Meanwhile, actress Neena Gupta, who won accolades and awards for her role in mega-hit movie ‘Badhaai Ho’ of 2018, couldn’t keep herself from admiring Kohli’s jawline and commented ‘Chiseled’ on the photo.

The much-applauded actress is not a stranger to cricket, having dated West Indian great Sir Viv Richards in the 1980s and has a daughter, acclaimed fashion designer Masaba Gupta with him. She went on to marry New Delhi-based Vivek Mehra, a chartered account in 2008. She will be further seen in playing Ayushman Khurana’s mother in Aanand L Rai’s ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar in the lead roles, and Gupta will be paired alongside her Badhaai Ho co-star Gajraj Rao.

Virat Kohli will now be seen leading the Indian team against the West Indies in the upcoming 3-match ODI and T20I series and will hope to keep the winning run going. Then will come the tour to New Zealand, where the Kohli-led team will play 5 T20Is, 3 ODIs and 2 Tests, which will be under the ICC Test Championship umbrella.
