The second match of the ongoing Nidahas Trophy is set to be played between India and Bangladesh on Thursday at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. While the opening game of the tournament was won by Sri Lanka by getting better of the Men in Blue, the third participating team of the series will be eyeing to do the same. For India though this will be the crucial encounter and might well decide their road in the tournament further. However, the weather for the match looks disturbing for both the teams with chances of rain during the match timings.

Despite threatening to rain during the whole day, the first match went on smoothly as there were not even grim chances for the rain gods to open up. Even the upcoming encounter will not get washed out but there are stern chances that the clouds will open up during the course of the match albeit for a shorter period of time. Here we bring you the detailed weather forecast for the second game of the tri-series.

According to Accu Weather, it will mostly cloudy weather and also there will be thunderstorms heading into the match in Colombo. Moreover, there is 51% chance of raining at 5 PM, only two hours before the game. Also, throughout the duration of the match, there is a possibility of the heaven gods opening up albeit only 20%. There is a stark possibility of the game might experience either a delayed start or frequent interruptions.

As far as the further details are concerned, the humidity is increased to 81% compared to the last game which was 79% and also there will be a cloud cover of 66% given there will be chances of rain. The temperatures will be cool and will be around 28 degree Celsius throughout the period of the game.

Overall verdict: Weather doesn’t seem to be good for the cricket match to be played with rain playing its part ahead of the match. The match might get interrupted for a brief time but abandonment is not a possibility as Duckworth Lewis method might come into play.
