'None of us should' - Riyan Parag responds to tweet asking advice for Virat Kohli on his form in IPL 2022
Riyan's crucial 56* (31) helped RR put up a defendable total.
Rajasthan Royals’ all-rounder Riyan Parag had an epic response to a question on Virat Kohli’s current form in IPL after the game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) played on April 26 (Tuesday). The two teams had clashed in the 39th game of the season as RR triumphed even after posting a low total.
But Virat Kohli’s form in the game is the question of the hour. With barely 128 runs in nine matches at an average of 16.00, the former skipper has got everyone talking about it. In the recent game of the IPL 2022, Parag scored an unbeaten half-century in order to take his team to a competitive score.
He responded to a tweet asking ‘what advice would you give to Virat Kohli right now?’ stating that the cricketer should be left alone and termed him as GOAT. “None of us should, let the (GOAT) do his thing,” he tweeted. He depicted Virat with the goat emoticon implying G.O.A.T- Greatest Of All Time.
Here’s the tweet:
Virat Kohli is going through a rough patch in his career
Though Kohli has been out of form, players and experts are confident of his comeback. The RCB batting line-up witnessed a change when Virat Kohli started the innings with the bat for his side along with skipper Faf du Plessis. He has one of the finest records while batting at the opener’s position having scored 18 half-centuries and five centuries batting on top.
He had started off the game well by smashing a couple of fours and surviving a dismissal, but he was soon picked up by Prasidh Krishna in the second over of the innings scoring just nine runs. Cricket pundits and experts are of the opinion that the former Team India skipper should take a break from the game, clear off his mind and then make a return.
The IPL 2022 has witnessed a drastic fall in his numbers as the 33-year-old is struggling to add runs under his belt. No strategy seems to be working for him, but he continues to walk out with the bat with sheer confidence of making a remarkable comeback.
