'Only 50 more Tests than me' - Yuzvendra Chahal hilariously wishes Virat Kohli on captaining India in 50 Tests
Chahal was once again at his humorous best.
There isn’t an iota of doubt that leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is one of the most entertaining cricketers going around. From making that pose [You know which one] a cult meme to photoshopping images to taking hilarious jibes at fellow cricketers to his own show called “Chahal TV”, the guy is a mad riot.
The one-half of India’s most successful spin pair in white-ball cricket, Yuzvendra Chahal is currently in peak form on social media, so much so that he is giving even the likes of Kiwi all-rounder Jimmy Neesham a run for their money with his humour.
In another hilarious post on Twitter, Yuzvendra Chahal congratulated Indian captain Virat Kohli, who is currently leading his country for a record 50th time in Test cricket with a tongue-in-cheek jibe. Posting Kohli’s photo, the RCB and India leg-spinner captioned it as,’ Congrats bhaiya [brother], only fifty more Test matches than me.’ and as usual the social media went ablaze.
Here’s his tweet:
This is not the first time that Yuzvendra Chahal has come up with cheeky social media banters. In the past few days, he has posted a morphed image where he can be seen chilling out with Rohit Sharma and his partner-in-crime Kuldeep Yadav. But it was his hilarious reply to South African wicket-keeper and ex-RCB teammate, Quinton de Kock’s attempt of emulating what is now his patented pose, that truely ran riot on social media.
Kohli celebrates 50th Test as captain with a half-century as India take total control
Meanwhile, in Pune, Virat Kohli celebrated his 50th Test as captain with a nonchalant half-century [63] as the visitors took complete control of the proceedings, finishing the day at 3-273. On what turned out to be a track that kept the fast bowlers interested throughout the day, opener Mayank Agarwal added another hundred to his kitty.
As for South Africa, Faf du Plessis‘ captaincy and their spinners were the biggest disappointment. Kagiso Rabada claimed all the three wickets and was easily the visitors’ best bowler by a country mile. As for Kohli, he became just the second Indian captain to lead his country in 50 Tests; MS Dhoni [60] being the first.
