After a shocking defeat in the first Test match, Pakistan will be aiming to come out all guns blazing against Sri Lanka to draw the series. Ever since Pakistan started playing their home matches in the UAE, they have not lost a Test series and would look to keep their streak going with a win in the 2nd Test at Dubai which will be played under lights.

Here we look at all the key stats and numbers ahead of the 2nd Test match.

1 – The Dubai Test match will be Sri Lanka’s first Day/Night Test match. Only India, Bangladesh Zimbabwe and the new Test playing nations Ireland and Afghanistan have not played a D/N Test so far.

21 – Sri Lanka’s 21-run win in the 1st game was their narrowest Test win in terms of runs. It was also the narrowest loss in terms of runs for Pakistan.

94 – Mohammad Amir has picked up 94 wickets in his Test career so far. He needs six more wickets to become the 3rd left-arm bowler from Pakistan after Wasim Akram (414) and Iqbal Qasim (171) to take 100 Test wickets.

200Rangana Herath’s 200 Test wickets after turning 35 are the most for any player. His 17 five-wicket hauls after turning 35 are the 2nd most for anyone while the six 10-wicket match hauls are the joint most.

400 – The last wicket of the 1st Test match was the 400th wicket of Rangana Herath’s Test career. He became the 14th player to complete 400 Test wickets and the oldest to reach the milestone. He is also the first player to bag 100 Test wickets against Pakistan.

492 – Herath has picked up 492 wickets in International cricket. He needs eight more wickets to become the 3rd Sri Lankan after Muttiah Muralitharan and Chaminda Vaas to complete 500 International wickets.

3000 – Dinesh Chandimal (2868) and Dimuth Karunaratne (2857) are nearing 3000 Test runs milestone. Chandimal needs 132 runs while Karunaratne needs 143 to complete 3000 Test runs. Only 11 Sri Lankan players have aggregate 3000 runs in Test cricket so far.

3945 – Runs Niroshan Dickwella has scored in his first-class career. He needs 55 more runs to complete 4000 FC runs. Dickwella has an impressive strike rate of 81.45 in FC cricket.

3959Haris Sohail has aggregated 3959 runs in his first-class career. He needs 41 more runs to complete 4000 FC runs. The 1st Test at Abu Dhabi was the only FC game Sohail has featured in the last three years.

9846 – Runs Azhar Ali has scored in first-class cricket so far. He needs 154 more runs to complete 10000 FC runs. Azhar went past 5000 Test runs during the first Test match.
