Pakistan completed a series whitewash in the T20I series against Sri Lanka in front of their home crowd as they defeated the visitors by 36 runs in the final T20I at Lahore. Shoaib Malik’s 24-ball 51 was vital in adding value to Pakistan’s top order’s contributions as they ended up with 180/3. Sri Lanka managed to post only 144/9 in their 20 overs as Mohammad Amir picked up a 4-wicket haul in his maiden International game in Pakistan.

Here we look at all the stats and records created during the game:

4/13 – Mohammad Amir became the first player to take a 4-wicket haul on Pakistan soil in T20I cricket. Mansoor Amjad in 2008 against Bangladesh and Mohammad Sami in 2015 against Zimbabwe picked up three wickets each in a T20I.

4/13 – Mohammad Amir’s bowling figures of 4/13 are his best in a Twenty20 game. Amir had figures of 4/30 in a BPL game in 2015. The left-arm pacer also completed 100 Twenty20 wickets in this match.

8 – Sri Lanka using eight bowlers in this game is their 2nd instance in T20I cricket where they bowled with eight different bowlers. Their T20I game in Dhaka against Pakistan in 2016 is also the last instance of a team using eight bowlers in a T20I inning.

13 – Number of wins for Pakistan in T20I cricket against Sri Lanka. No other team has won more than 11 matches against a single opponent in this format. In the 18 T20Is between these two sides, Sri Lanka managed to win five.

23 – Shoaib Malik’s 23-ball fifty is the joint 3rd fastest for Pakistan in T20I cricket after Umar Akmal’s 21-ball and 22-ball fifties. This is also the fastest fifty for Pakistan against Sri Lanka in T20I cricket and the fastest fifty for any player in Pakistan in this format.
