After clean sweeping the Netherlands 3-0 in their backyard, Nicholas Pooran, and his men are back in Pakistan to play the rescheduled three-match ODI series, beginning on June 8. The second and the third matches take place on June 10 and 12, with the Multan Cricket Stadium set to host all three matches. The series was supposed to be played in December last year, but due to the COVID-19 cases in the West Indies camp, it got postponed.

Hosts Pakistan whitewashed the Men in Maroon 3-0 in the T20I series that took place before the deferral of the ODIs. Speaking about the current form, as mentioned above, the Caribbean side convincingly defeated the Dutch in all three games. On the other hand, Babar Azam led his team to a 2-1 series victory over the Australians in their last ODI assignment, which began in late March this year at home.

Notably, Multan is all set to stage its first ODI since the year 2008. These two sides last met in a 50-over clash in the 2019 World Cup when West Indies won by seven wickets in Nottingham. Babar and his full-strength Pakistan side will look to do the same damage over their opposition that they did in the T20I series at the end of last year.
