The duo was in the opinion that fans take things really seriously when it comes to some matches, especially the India-Pakistan rivalry. The pair made a special request to the fans from both the countries to not criticize players too much after a bad day on the field.

Yuvraj Singh spoke about how fans get very personal when it comes to an India-Pakistan match. The former was of an opinion that fans from both the teams should have some patience with their players as they are also giving their everything to win.

“Big example is India and Pakistan game. Everyone gets personal about their country but the point is you have to think about the players,” said Yuvraj. “Everybody is giving their 100 per cent on the field and only one team is going to win. Sometimes the opposition is going to win and sometimes you are going to win. People from both countries need to have more patience towards their players.”

‘Indian team has handled the pressure better’: Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj also stated that India has won more matches against the arch-rivals in the World Cups because they have managed pressure well. He also pointed out that Pakistan in the earlier decades had a good side would often win against India.

“Obviously, the Indian team has won most matches in the championships because we have handled pressure in a better way. Similarly, Pakistan in the earlier decade was a much better team who did the same”, Yuvraj added.

The Indian vice-captain also echoed the words of Yuvraj Singh. Rohit urged fans to enjoy the match instead of just taking things personally. He also blamed the media for talking ill about a particular player after he fails to perform in a few matches. He stated that winning and losing is a part of the game but each player tries their best.

“I agree. This thing is important and whenever we get the opportunity we try to tell our fans about it,” Sharma said. “We understand that you want your team to win and we try our best to win, but the other team is also playing and they will also try to win, so winning and losing is part of the game.

But the thing is people should not write off players saying he is playing really badly and throw him out of the team. Fans should just enjoy the game and let authorities do what they are supposed to do,” he added.
