Peshawar Zalmi lends their helping hand for Kerala victims

Imran Khan, the former Pakistani cricketer and the current Prime Minister of the nation also shared his condolences.

Kerala is in the midst of one of the gloomiest phases of their history. The state of one of India’s most exotic tourist destinations is no less than abject. The city has submerged underwater, which has left people homeless and prone to diseases. The death tolls have only increased over the passage of time and almost three-quarter of a million has been packed into relief camps.

What has been the most heartening, that people from around the globe are pouring their hearts out and making contributions for the horrendous occurring. In the meantime, even cricketers, both current and former, have made donations. Recently, Sanju Samson, who belongs to Kerala, donated a whopping Rs 15 lakhs to the Chief Minister Relief Fund and told that it was for helping the needy ones out.

We want to extend our full support to the people of Kerala

Even Sachin Tendulkar, the former Indian cricketer, donated Rs 10 lakhs for the cause. Imran Khan, the former Pakistani cricketer and the current Prime Minister of the nation also shared his condolences. Meanwhile, Zalmi Foundation of the Peshawar Zalmi franchise in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) extended their helping hand.

Javed Afridi, the chairman of the franchise and brother of retired cricketer Shahid Afridi, announced 5000 tents and medical supplies for the sufferers.

The franchise mentioned and wrote, “On the basis of humanity, we want to extend our full support to the people of Kerala, said Javed Afridi.

We are deeply saddened by the havoc caused by the floods in Kerala, India and aim to provide support in any way we can through the Zalmi Foundation.

Chairman Javed Afridi expressed his remorse over the millions of people affected by the floods in Kerala. Through the Zalmi foundation, he has announced 5000 relief tents and medical supplies for the people of Kerala, India. Our prayers are with them and we are standing with them in this time of need.”
