Deepak Chahar’s sister Malti Chahar sent a hilarious message for the pacer as he prepares to leave for his honeymoon. Chahar tied the knot with Jaya Bharadwaj on June 1, Wednesday. He had proposed to her during Chennai Super Kings’ final league match against Punjab Kings during the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League.

Chahar, who was roped in by CSK for a huge sum of INR 14 crore, was ruled out of the IPL 2022 owing to his back injury. The pacer suffered a blow during the third T20I against West Indies earlier this year and was sent to NCA in Bengaluru. During the recovery process, he sustained a back injury and as a result, was ruled out of the entire season of the IPL, which also led to missing out on the South Africa home series.

As the newlyweds took off for their honeymoon, Malti shared a picture of her with his brother and sister-in-law and captioned it saying: “Ab ladki hui humari….Wish you guys a very happy married life @deepak_chahar9 please take care of your back during your honeymoon..we have World Cup ahead.”

Chahar’s injury woes are a concern for India

Deepak Chahar will be out of action for a few more weeks as he has not completely recovered. Before the ICC T20 World Cup, the Indian cricket squad will play several bilateral T20I series. South Africa, Ireland, England, the West Indies, and Australia are all slated to play against India.

Meanwhile, the coming few weeks will be crucial for the pacer, as he will need to make a place in the Indian squad soon. It is not going to be an easy ride, as he has been out of action for a long time now, and the injury woes will make it difficult for the pacer to earn a place in the squad.
