India’s Poonam Yadav and Pakistan’s Anam Amin have broken into the top five on the MRF Tyres ICC Women’s T20I Rankings for bowlers following their performances in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup in Malaysia. In the latest rankings update on Monday, 11 June, Yadav, the leg-spinner, gained two places to be third on the list, behind Australia’s Megan Schutt and New Zealand’s Leigh Kasperek.
The diminutive spinner finished the tournament with seven international wickets, including a career-best 4/9 in the final, but it wasn’t enough to ensure India’s victory over Bangladesh.
