2. Shikhar Dhawan (C)

Shikhar Dhawan is not the part of the Test squad and he is destined to travel to Sri Lanka. He is also rumoured to be captaining the side in Virat Kohli’s absence. A lot is going to rest on his heavy shoulders.

Dhawan is close to 6000 runs mark in ODIs and has been an integral part of the setup. He might look to prove himself in the T20Is where KL Rahul has always looked more impressive than him. His recent form suggests that he may very well give KL the run for his money for that opening spot.

He was the Orange cap holder in the IPL this season until it was postponed. He has always shown a positive intent and hardly sees a lean patch in the limited overs cricket. We expect him to lead from the front in the series against Sri Lanka.
