The reigning world champion (in the 50-over format) and the hosts are expected to turn up in the grand finale of the event. Australia look way too threatening in every possible department and England‘s confidence has skyrocketed after their World Cup triumph, making them quite a force to deal with in the white ball territory.

England have tremendous batting and bowling depth, which precisely is the format’s need of the hour. Australia too boast of something similar and hosting the tournament makes them all the more in contention than their arch-rivals. Both these sides met in the World Cup semifinal in 2019, which turned out to be one-way traffic.

What could happen if they meet again at the MCG on November 15th, 2020? Well, the format is so unpredictable that no one can get it right even in their best guessing days. Yet, Australia might trump England and wrap the T20 crown around their heads for the first time in history.
