Preity Zinta over the moon as Yuvraj Singh returns to Kings XI Punjab
KXIP owner Preity Zinta was a happy person, as she tweeted out to show her happiness over the return of the Punjab boy Yuvraj Singh.
While Chennai boy Ravichandran Ashwin made his way to the Kings XI Punjab, it was an eerie moment for all the fans back in Chennai, with Chennai Super Kings bagged Harbhajan Singh in a cross-state transfer. However, it was not the case with Yuvraj Singh as the Kings XI Punjab bought him at a base price of 2 crores.
It is a contrary to the price that Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils have paid for the services of the all-rounder in the past. The side led by Daniel Vettori paid a huge sum of 14 crores for the left-handed all-rounder in the 2014 IPL Auction.
In the two seasons that the left-hander played for the side led by Virat Kohli, he scored a total of 624 runs in his two seasons with the Royal Challengers before he made a move to the Sunrisers Hyderabad. With the ball too, the left-hander was pretty ordinary picking up only six wickets in two seasons.
However, it was at Sunsiers Hyderabad that the left-hander blossomed as part of the IPL winning side in 2016. With the Sunrisers Hyderabad, the left-hander scored 488 runs in 22 appearances.
Preity Zinta reacts to Yuvi’s return
After spending two seasons at the Sunrisers under the leadership of David Warner, the left-hander returns to the Kings XI Punjab, the side which he led for two seasons. KXIP owner Preity Zinta was a happy person, as she tweeted out to show her happiness over the return of the Punjab boy Yuvraj Singh.
Zinta tweeted out, “Yesssssss ! @YUVSTRONG12 is back home at @lionsdenkxip and I cannot be happier ? #LivePunjabiPlayPunjabi #VivoIPLAuction #BalleBalle?”
It is likely to be if the all-rounder could shine on his return for the Kings XI Punjab, after having an off-season with both the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
