From the moment the Indian captain Virat Kohli married his long-time love Anushka Sharma, both are making headlines whenever they share their adorable photos on any social media platform viz. Instagram or Twitter. This time around, both the celebrities posted their Karvachauth celebration pictures on their Instagram accounts. Anushka’s counterpart and her close friend from Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra Jonas couldn’t hold her feelings after watching their lovely picture.
After the Indian cricket team skipper and Bollywood actress got hitched in 2017, they regularly celebrate the Indian festivities and rituals. On Thursday, the famous couple celebrated their Karvachauth which is prominently a women-centric ritual in Hinduism in which wife fasts for her husband for his longevity and safety. But for the love of his life, even Virat kept a fast with Anushka which shows how much mutual respect and love they share and have for each other.
On Anushka’s Instagram handle, she shared an adorable picture with her cricketer husband Virat with a caption reading, “My partner for a lifetime & beyond and my fasting partner for the day Happy karvachauth to all.” The couple was seen wearing all-out Indian ethnic clothes which attracted many eyes around the globe. One of which was of Priyanka Chopra’s. The veteran Indian actress commented on the photo expressing her feelings like this- “U guys r the cutest!”
Virat Kohli also posted the adorable picture
The world number one Test batsman didn’t fall behind praising his lovely wife. He posted a similar photo on his Instagram handle captioning, “The ones who fast together laugh together. Happy karvachauth.” Anishka was looking drop-dead gorgeous in a red saree wearing beautiful bangles and stylish earrings while Kohli kept it minimal but classy with a black kurta.
Even the popular South Indians actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu also commented on the post terming them the best couple.
Priyanka Chopra has always been an admirer of her colleagues. She married American singer Nick Jonas last year and has been leaving in the United States thereafter. Even Priyanka celebrated her Karvachauth with Nick in Los Angeles, USA which is a proof that she hadn’t forgotten the Indian rituals even after marrying an American guy.
