Rahul Dravid once again gives an exemplary display of his trademark gentlemanship
Dravid was spotted with his wife and son, watching the match seated just like any other spectator
During yesterday’s IPL fixture between RCB and KKR, a rather inconspicuous persona was spotted in the crowd when the game stopped for a while due to rain. When the camera focused on him, almost each and every person present at the venue shouted out loud to cheer for him. He was none other than the former Indian captain and the present India U-19 coach, Rahul Dravid.
Apart from his crafty cricket techniques, Dravid is heralded all across the world for his simplicity and not making an ostentatious show of his achievements. The IPL indeed has always been a star-studded affair with celebrities coming into the stadiums filling up the VIP stands from where they can see the game comfortably.
However, given the gentleman he is, Rahul Dravid chose otherwise. Along with his wife and son, he remained seated just like any other spectator in the stands while people around him couldn’t stop themselves from clicking selfies with the ‘Wall’ of the Indian cricket. The second highest-run getter in international cricket for India, Rahul Dravid was once again being lauded for his humble, nonchalant attitude.
Dravid’s presence in the stadium was no less than a delight for his die-hard fans. He seemed to be having a great time watching young cricketers like Shivam Mavi and Shubhman Gill who were a part of the U-19 team which he guided to lift the World Cup recently in New Zealand.

Rejected an honorary Degree earlier last year
As a token of gratitude for his contribution to Indian cricket, Rahul Dravid was requested to accept an honorary degree from the Bangalore University last year. However, the 45-year-old gracefully declined the offer.
The 45-year-old declined the offer as he wanted to accomplish a Degree by conducting some research in the field of sport, rather than accepting an Honorary. In the Bangalore University’s official press release, they confirmed this news and back then, the social media could do nothing but salute the legend’s attitude.
