Rajdeep Sardesai says India-Pak matches the most exciting ones

Well known journalist and TV personality Rajdeep Sardesai has stated that the matches between India and Pakistan are the most exciting games of cricket. Sardesai is a well-known face on TV, known for his lively debates on news channels on politics and current events, is also a big cricket fan. His father was the former Indian and Mumbai batsman Dilip Sardesai.

In an interview, Sardesai said that he didn’t see the last game between India and Pakistan in the stadium, since the game was being played in Bangladesh in Asia Cup T20 2016. He said that he watched the match live on the TV while having dinner away from his house.

Pakistan had made 83 runs batting first on a lively pitch and then Mohammad Amir’s fiery spell meant that, India had to crawl to the win, despite Amir’s initial burst. Sardesai said that when he saw Pakistan getting dismissed for 83, he was about to leave for the dinner, when he was stopped by the brilliant spell of bowling by Amir.

India will meet Pakistan at Kolkata on March 19, 2016 in the ongoing World T20 2016. The match was shifted from Dharamshala after protests from ex-army servicemen. The match is one of the most awaited games in the cricket world as India has never lost any match to Pakistan in World Cups and Pakistan have never lost any game against India when playing at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Therefore there are two streaks at hand when these two Asian giants meet each other on March 19, 2016.

Rajdeep Sardesai also said that he was relieved when India won that match and praised Amir for his exceptional talent with the ball. He said that he is capable of troubling the best of the batsmen in the world and that he will be attending the match at Kolkata in person and would love to see another Kohli-Amir battle.

Rajdeep ended the interview by saying,” That will be a pressure game and Amir bowling against the Indian line up especially Kohli will be a treat to watch. Pakistan will face Indian on Saturday in their second game of the World T20. It will be a crunch game and both the teams will be applying everything to score a win.”

India have lost their first match to New Zealand and will be under pressure to win against Pakistan, while Pakistan have won their first match against Bangladesh in a handsome fashion.
