Ramiz Raja ropes in a Bollywood star in his production debut

Former Pakistani cricketer Ramiz Raja is all set to enter the showbiz industry. As per the reports in NDTV, Ramiz spoke about the same to Geo News. He will soon be producing a movie that will have popular Indian actor Sanjay Dutt in the lead role. If the reports are to be believed, Sanjay will make his comeback in the movies with Ramiz’s production house. The film’s theme is quite unique. It is not very hard to guess that the movie will revolve around cricket.

The theme of the movie is about eradicating terrorism through the influence of cricket. Obviously, there have been instances when the bats have replaced the guns in many regions. Afghanistan is a prime example of the same. At present, Pakistan is facing severe crisis due to terrorism. No major team has toured Pakistan for international cricket since the 2009 attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team bus.

Zimbabwe did tour Pakistan in 2015 but a big team is yet to make a visit. Recently, West Indies denied touring Pakistan this year. Hence, the idea of Ramiz Raja only looks fruitful and will help the cause of countering terrorism. The commentator mentioned that the key features of the movie is the action and suspense part of it.

The production house is yet to finalise the female lead for the movie. Ramiz mentioned that he is interested in roping in someone like Mahira Khan or Katrina Kaif. In a quote, he said, “Actresses like Mahira Khan and Katrina Kaif have immense talent, it is my wish to cast them in the movie.” Talking about the male lead Sanjay Dutt, the veteran actor recently completed his jail sentence. He was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment following his involvement in the 1993 bomb blasts in Mumbai. He is yet to sign any movie since being released from the jail.
