Ranji Trophy 2018-19, Karnataka vs Mumbai – Dream11 Fantasy Tips
Mumbai is expected to take away three points if the pitch in Belgaum favours batsmen as it has in the past.
The game between Karnataka and Mumbai can be regarded as the El Clásico of Indian domestic cricket given the rivalry developed between the two sides due to the success they achieved at this level. Mumbai is the most successful team in the history of this tournament while Karnataka has the most number of titles in the last five years and have produced a good number of International players. However, both the sides will be without any of their star players during the third round fixture in Belgaum as they are on national duty with India and India ‘A’.
Both the teams are coming off a three-pointer in their respective first game of this tournament. The Karnataka skipper Vinay Kumar completed 100 appearances in Ranji Trophy. He will be gearing up to make an impact in the game having enjoyed great success against the team. Vinay has claimed 41 wickets in first-class cricket at an average of 19.51. Mumbai, on the other hand, have batsmen who are in a good form.

Power Picks:
The trio of Shreyas Gopal, Suchith Jagadeesha and Prasidh Krishna could make a difference in the game. Gopal is well known for his all-round skills and has a partner in form of Suchith who can play a similar role. Prasidh is yet to make a mark in the longer format and he will be hopeful of sealing his place in the Karnataka team.

Aditya Tare (wk), Surya Kumar Yadav, Siddhesh Lad, Dega Nischal, Shishir Bhavane, Shreyas Gopal, Suchith Jagadeesha, Shivam Dube, Shams Mulani, Tushar Deshpande, Vinay Kumar.
Captain and Vice-captain Selection:
Mumbai’s Shivam Dube has been consistent with both bat and ball this season. He scored a century and an unbeaten fifty in the first game. He is expected to do better with the ball in the coming games. Siddhesh Lad, known for scoring runs in tough situations, has been consistent as well. He scored twin fifties in the previous game including a 99 and can be considered a candidate for captain.
Vinay Kumar’s record against Mumbai makes him eligible for vice-captain role and Suchith also makes a case with his nine wickets in the previous game where he also scored few runs with the bat. Surya Kumar Yadav can also be considered for this role given his recent form in all formats.
Expert Advice:
Jay Bista is well known for his big knocks in age group cricket but hasn’t produced any major performance for the senior team. Bista makes a quick 30-40 before he gets out without converting his start. He can be a risky pick and could smash a big one on his day.
Probable Winners:
Mumbai is expected to take away three points if the pitch in Belgaum favours batsmen as it has in the past.
