David Warner is by far one of the most swashbuckling and entertaining batsmen of the modern era. The attitude and character he brings to the side are exemplary. He is the only player to have debuted for Australia without playing a first-class game where he smashed a quality South African attack to all parts of MCG by scoring 89 runs off 43 balls.

Having represented Australia 295 times, he has scored 15031 runs including 71 fifties and 43 centuries. He is the epitome of consistency in T20 cricket, especially the IPL having won the Orange Cap thrice. Currently, he is the highest run-scorer for Australia in ODIs. From punching Joe Root after a bar brawl to being the so-called architect of the sandpaper scandal, controversy has never been far away from him.

However, the former vice-captain made a successful return to international cricket. He was the second-highest run-getter in the 2019 World Cup and even won the orange cap that year. The 34-year-old Southpaw may not end up having the most number of runs but certainly, be remembered as one of the most impactful players in the world.
