2. Yuvraj Singh
Unarguably one of the most talented and determined white-ball cricketers that India has seen in recent times, Yuvraj Singh is truly deserving of the second spot in this list full of legendary players. The ‘Prince of Indian Cricket’, Yuvraj in his playing days defined how the game had to be played in One Day International matches and made sure that if he was on the pitch, with the bat in hand, the Indian team got to a winning position.
The way he controlled the game and made sure that at no point matches went out of hand was one of the most defining characteristics of his. Even when tasked with bowling he would often work wonders. And, it should come as no surprise that he holds multiple records in ODI cricket while playing for India. In terms of numbers, Yuvraj played 304 One Day Internationals and scored 8,701 runs while also taking 111 wickets.
The hero of Indian team’s many triumphs, Yuvraj, before going through one of the toughest phases of his life, was crowned the Man of the Tournament for his performances in the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, the one that India won. Yuvraj was an all-rounder of the highest order and would go down in history books as the Indian who won the people’s hearts and conquered every challenge he faced.
