Ranveer Singh congratulates Yuzvendra Chahal after he shares engagement picture with fiancée Dhanashree Verma
Chahal is all set to fly to the UAE, where the thirteenth edition of the IPL is set to take place.
India international Yuzvendra Chahal grabbed the headlines on Saturday by announcing his engagement with choreographer and YouTuber Dhanashree Verma. The couple shared their picture and announced the news on their social media handles.
Wishes flooded in for the couple as many Indian stars including Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma wished good luck to the couple. Twitter, as well as Instagram, was filled with congratulatory wishes for Chahal and Dhanashree.
Chahal shared a few an adorable picture from the ‘roka’ ceremony and wrote, “We said ‘Yes’ along with our families.”
Bollywood star Ranveer Singh was also one of the celebrities who congratulated the leg-spinner on his engagement. Ranveer took to the comments and said, “Congratulations bro” adding a heart-eye emoji, heart and folded hands emoticon.

During the national lockdown, Ranveer was involved in an Instagram Live session with Indian footballer Sunil Chhetri. Chahal, who was pretty active on social media at that time, had crashed the live interaction by asking– “Can I comment?” Chahal had even resorted to making TikTok videos when the cricket scenario was at a halt due to the pandemic.
Meanwhile, Chahal is all set to fly to the UAE, where the thirteenth edition of the IPL is set to take place. With a surge in COVID-19 cases in India, the BCCI had to shift the tournament to another country. The T20 extravaganza will start in the UAE from September 19th, with Chahal being a vital part of Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Chahal will join the RCB squad before flying down to the Middle East country. Since breaking into the national side, Chahal was delivered many impressive performances with the white ball. He and Kuldeep Yadav have emerged as vital cogs of India in the limited-overs format.
Talking about Ranveer, his next project is also related to cricket. He will be seen in the sports drama ’83 directed by Kabir Khan. Based on India’s iconic 1983 World Cup triumph, the movie features Ranveer as skipper Kapil Dev. Ranveer’s wife Deepika will be also seen playing the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Bhatia.
