Having made his T20I debut in 2006 against New Zealand, Bravo went on to represent his country in 91 T20 internationals. The all-rounder announced his retirement from international cricket after playing his final T20I game against Australia in 2021. He had a career span of 15 years and 263 days in T20 internationals. 2. One of three players to have scored 1000 runs and taken 50 wickets in each format of the game
Dwayne Bravo holds a unique record of being one among the three cricketers to have scored 1000 runs and have taken 50 wickets in the three formats. Bravo had scored 2200, 2968 and 1255 runs in Tests, ODIs and T20I formats respectively while picking up 86, 199 and 78 wickets in the same order of formats. Only, Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi and Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan have achieved the feat so far in international cricket.
3. Third best figures by a captain in ODIs
Dwayne Bravo captained the West Indies side for a while in limited overs cricket, and he stepped up with bat and ball every time he entered the field. The match winner, holds the third best figures by a captain in ODI format. Bravo picked up 6 for 43 with one maiden against Zimbabwe in 2013 and it turned out to be the second-best figures by a West Indian captain in ODIs. Waqar Younis’ 7 for 36 and Viv Richards’ 6 for 41 are the other two best figures by a captain in the 50 over format.
4. Most wickets taken Caught and Bowled in T20Is for WI
