Rashid Khan spellbound by his 'Bhai Jan', Virat Kohli from India
Virat broke the record of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar as he got to 10k runs in just 205 innings.
The Indian skipper Virat Kohli is surmounting greater heights with every game that he plays. He is believed to have got this magic in his hands that makes batting look so easy. Adding to it his supreme fitness levels, which help him immensely in getting to many achievements.
The 2nd ODI against the Windies was a testimony of his skill and fitness. Playing in hot and humid Vizag conditions, on a belt where the ball didn’t really come on as well onto the bat as one would expect, Virat Kohli’s innings was just superlative. He batted for more than three hours out there in the middle. Further, in the process, he got to his 37th ODI century. Also, he breached the 10,000 ODI runs mark, which only some elite cricketers have got past thus far.
The one and only Virat Kohli
The 29-year-old has inspired an entire generation with his skill and the hunger to do well. Afghanistan spin sensation Rashid Khan is definitely among those who got awe inspired by Virat Kohli. As the Indian captain became the fastest to 10,000 ODI runs, Rashid took it to the micro-blogging site Twitter to congratulate him on the achievement.
Virat broke the record of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar as he got to 10k runs in just 205 innings. Sachin got there in 259 innings when he was 27 years old, quite some time ago from now. In his special tweet for Virat Kohli, Rashid Khan termed the former as Bhai Jan which was quite pleasing to see. He further congratulated the one and only Kohli in his tweet.
“Fastest 10k the one and only @imVkohli . Many many congratulation Bhai jan,” the leg-spinner wrote in his tweet. He also gave a few high fives and thumbs ups at the end.
