Rashid Khan tweets for MS Dhoni after playing the helicopter shot; cricketing fraternity reacts
Rashid's helicopter shot is being loved by the cricketers.
Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan has bamboozled many batsmen with his mysterious bowling. But very few are aware of his abilities with the bat which came to the fore during the Indian Premier League (IPL) this year. Rashid, since then, carried his blistering form into the Asia Cup as well and is now ripping apart that bowling attack in the ongoing T10 League.
In the game against the Pakhtoons, the youngster came out to bat late in the innings for the Maratha Arabians and slammed 21 off just seven deliveries. However, the helicopter shot which he played during his short knock which grabbed the eyeballs of the fraternity.
Cricketers react to Rashid’s shot
Even Rashid Khan was left shocked with the way he connected as the ball went out of the Stadium. Soon the video of the shot went viral on social media and the cricketer himself posted it on his official Twitter handle. The inventor of the unique helicopter shot is none other than MS Dhoni and the 20-year-old remembered the Indian veteran.
However, the current and former loved watching Rashid employing the helicopter shot and hailed him for the same. He also got involved in an interesting conversation with his IPL coach Tom Moody. Both recalled how they used to practice the shot in the nets during the tournament while the official Twitter handle of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), the franchise which he plays for in the IPL, also hoped that he unfurls a similar kind of shot in the next season.
The likes of Danielle Wyatt and Rishabh Pant were also overawed with the kind of talent he possesses and praised the Afghan leggie for the same. It will be now be interesting to see if he continues to bat the same way in the near future as well.
