Rashid Khan is one of the most feared spinners across the T20 leagues around the world. He has troubled the batters in every league he has always chipped away with wickets. His economy rate has been brilliant as batsmen are willing to play out his overs rather than risking their wicket. Rashid has already taken 42 International wickets and performed brilliantly in the IPL this season taking 17 wickets.

To concentrate on economy

The leg-spinner is aiming to maintain a miserly economy rather than taking wickets in the Big Bash League. He said that he gets to bowl after 10 overs where the value of keeping the run rate down is more than taking wickets.

“I am more concentrating on having a good economy. I am not so worried about wickets as I am bowling after 10 overs and finishing,” said Rashid as quoted by the Adelaide Now.

He admitted that he uses the wrong un as his main weapon and added that he loves to play in the Big Bash and is looking forward to being a part this season as well.

“It’s my main weapon and I try my best to use it for the team. I love Big Bash and was really keen to play, I will try to keep things simple, the more you enjoy the game the better you perform.” Rashid added.

New celebration

He further stated that he is trying to come up with some good celebrations too. The 19-year-old is excited about bowling on the Adelaide pitch as it can aid him by offering bounce.

Rashid also mentioned his conversation with Adelaide Strikers coach Jason Gillespie after World T20 which was one of the determining factors in bringing him to the franchise. “I performed well in the T20 World Cup and Jason spoke with me after that. I decided to play for the Strikers. He has been supporting me very well,” he concluded.
