8. Mumbai Indians (9/10)
The most decorated team of the tournament over the years, with a total of 4 trophies to their name, the Mumbai Indians enter the 13th season of IPL as the strongest contenders to lift the trophy, alongside the Kolkata Knight Riders. They have a great bowling attack with them, and a set of batsmen who can chase or put up every possible total on the board.
The Mumbai team management went all brains in into drafting a squad that is capable of winning matches against any team this season. They have the luxury to enjoy the services of the best batsmen in the business. Rohit Sharma their captain, is in great form, Kieron Pollard, the veteran of the ‘MI Paltan’ doesn’t care about form and wins games for the team every day, and the young brigade has to show promising performances in the domestic circuit. So, their finishing department looks more polished than that of any other team in the tournament.
They seemingly have anything sorted out way in advance before the tournament begins and will have to adapt their batting order, only a little bit before the start of some matches, according to the conditions. The only thing that they’ll have to worry about will be to find a like for like replacement for any player if he goes through a rough patch during the tournament.
