After new inclusion Tom Westley came up with his all time XI, another Englishman decided to reveal his own. 32-year-old cricketer Ravi Bopara has chosen his team and it is a bunch full of legends. Bopara, who has an Indian background went for an Indian to open his line up. Former Indian international and one of the most destructive cricketers of all time Virender Sehwag was Bopara’s first name in the XI. The deadly batsman was paired with Australian powerhouse David Warner. Considering the fact that David Warner has been one of the finest of the current generation he was not at all a difficult choice for Bopara. The opening pair looks a lethal one and is a nightmare for any bowler.

Middle order:

The honourable number three spot went to another stalwart of the game going by the name of Kumar Sangakkara. While his contributions to the game of cricket remain as an inspiration, the Sri Lankan genius was one of the greatest Test players to step into the 22 yards. Sangakkara is followed by the legendary Sachin Tendulkar on the list. Arguably the greatest batsman to have played the game, Tendulkar’s selection came as no surprise. Indian skipper Virat Kohli was also selected by Bopara which makes the team even stronger. Kohli, who is the ruler of the present era has his records to speak for himself.

The lower middle consists of two absolute legends of the game in the form of Jacques Kallis and Brian Lara. The might of these two men is known to every cricket fan and their inclusion in the team makes it a colossal one. The bowling line up saw two iconic Pakistanis making it into the team namely Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar. The owner of 800 Test wickets and spin wizard Muttiah Muralitharan was also an easy pick for the Englishman. The final name in the team was that of James Anderson who has been one of the best for a long period of time. A staggering 477 Test wickets define him as a bowler.

The team:

Virender Sehwag, David Warner, Kumar Sangakkara, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Jacques Kallis, Brian Lara, Wasim Akram (c), Muttiah Muralitharan, James Anderson, Shoaib Akhtar.
