Ravichandran Ashwin commits a social media blunder
Ashwin himself doesn't shy away from being a troll on social media at times.
Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin committed a huge blunder on Twitter today. While it’s no secret that famous cricketing personalities who enjoy a substantial fan following on the social media platform often indulge in posting promotional tweets for various brands. Apparently, Ashwin also did the same thing as he posted a Redmi Note 4 promotional tweet.
But it all went wrong in no time. Ashwin tweeted, There’s often a debate on reading my carrom ball but, there are some things jinpe #KoiDebateNahi! Redmi Note4: India’s No.1 selling smartphone.
However, in some time, a Twitter user pointed out a hilarious mistake. He posted a picture which displayed that the tweet from Ashwin’s account that was promoting Redmi Note 4 actually came from an iPhone.
While mistakes do happen, this came across as one of most proficient social media blunders of recent times. Twitterati couldn’t control its laughter after learning out that a promotional tweet praising the brand Redmi Note 4 came from an iPhone.
When errors of this sort happen on social media, the best guesses about what happened is the social media team with access to the account wasn’t careful enough which caused the blunder. This incident raised another question as to whether cricketers or various other celebrities actually use the brands they endorse. The answer might probably be in the negative.
Earlier today news emerged that Indian skipper Virat Kohli denied endorsing a popular cola brand since he doesn’t consume it himself being a health conscious individual. He took the moral stand understanding that his fans would indulge into things they can relate with him and thus it is an appreciable move by Kohli.
Ashwin, on the other hand, himself doesn’t shy away from being a troll on social media at times. However, this time he may have nothing to say at his behest.
